Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage public affairs team to ensure effective communication materials including corporate profile, brochures, public announcements etc. are properly developed and updated;
  • Develop strategies to develop effective relationships with premier customers and maintain highest standard of excellence in premier customer service;
  • Strengthen relationship with very important customers and other parties by proposing and implementing customer service and retention activities, including corporate events and gifts, working with Top Management and senior managers/ managers at head office and the branches;
  • Monitor the minimum standard of qualifying premier customers and oversee gift arrangements and deliveries for premier customers on festive and special occasions;
  • Manage the maintenance and updating of the Bank’s corporate website;
  • Coordinate with other departments involving preparation and publishing of the Bank’s Annual Report;
  • Work closely with Business Development department in planning, proposing, and implementing activities of the Bank’s marketing materials and promotional campaigns;
  • Maximize the Bank image through identifying and recommending appropriate events to sponsor;
  • Propose and implement community projects that are in line with the corporate values of the Bank;
  • Ensure that the Bank is well recognized as a responsible corporate citizen through implementation of various community projects and activities;
  • Ensure that the Bank’s branding is properly implemented and maintained by staff involved;
  • Coordinate with media outlets on the publishing and airing of the Bank’s press releases and articles;
  • Prepare and coordinate the Bank’s corporate events and functions;
  • Support other departments in tasks involving promotion and branding of the Bank;
  • Support the branches on premier customer matters;
  • Monitor and keep records of competitors’ branding and promotional activities;
  • Other duties assigned by the Management.

Capabilities and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of five-year experience in marketing and communication. Customer service oriented experience is plus;
  • Understanding of protocol observed and applied by government officials and important individuals and relationship management experience with high net-worth customers or equivalence;
  • Sound knowledge of the bank’s business and operations, preferably gained through at least 3 years of general banking experience;
  • Superior communication, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical skills;
  • Initiative, and good knowledge of and great sensitivity to business and social issues;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
