Apart from the time the beneficiary present the Banker's Cheque, other factors like the mailing time, presentation to the beneficiary Bank and the local clearing procedures will account for the speed of payment.

Service Description

A banker's cheque is issued by the applicant's bank (drawer) and the cheque made out to a named person payee. The cheque is usually given to the applicant who will send it to the payee who will, in turn, present it to his bank for collection and payment. Note that the drawee and the drawer of the cheque 

is the applicant's bank and in that sense, payment is 'guaranteed'.
